A Couple of Quick Layouts
Here's a couple of layouts I put together quickly. The first one is my little boy meeting his little brother at the hospital.
The second one is my little boy at the hospital with his stroller. He was ready to leave and take that baby!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Adorable Boy Layout
I'm thinking 2 posts in 2 days might be a bit too much for my computer to handle. If you don't hear from me for a while after this, it might be because my computer smoked and sputtered and died from the shock! This page was after my youngest son was born and was meeting his MeMaw and PawPaw for the first time.
I'm entering the Getting Scrappy Challenge at Amanda's Crafts and More. This time the challenges is Banners or Pennants.
Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I'm going to tell you, I saw this layout idea here. I just loved the sketch she used and she did a beautiful job of scrapping her pictures.
I'm also going to enter this layout here. The challenge was to use the sketch they provided to make a layout.
Here's the sketch:

Here's my newest Easter layout. Yes, I know it's WAAAAY after Easter, but I wanted to share this anyway.
Here are closeups of the details.
The Ducky
The Bear
The Birdie
The Bunny
I think it turned out pretty well. The pattern is from Treasure Box Designs and it was so easy to work with. Look for it on Ebay under my tag TVFREE. You can also find my work at my Etsy shop. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

14 Days of Valentines- Two Takes on One Sketch
![]() |
| 4x6 Photo Blog-Sketch 54 All right, that's it! I'm declaring a Valentine's Day re-do. My Valentine's Day didn't go remotely like I planned, which is why I'm posting the last 2 projects 2 days after Valentine's Day. So, here's my project and my rationale for them. I love sketches. I think they take the guesswork out of a layout and you can concentrate on the artwork and not the technical details. I thought it would be fun to make 2 different pages with one sketch and see what happened. I figured I'd do one more detailed than the other, with paper piecings and chalking/inking on the individual elements. I planned to do the other one more quickly, with ready-made elements. Boy, was I surprised. I did the page with the paper piecing (BTW- the pattern is from MyScrapChick) and it took so much less time than the one with the pre-made elements. I think I need to be more decisive. LOL I found this sketch at 4x6 Photo Sketch Blog. I love this site because I usually don't have room to crop my pictures after I take them. I try to get up close when I take the pictures, so there's not much room to crop. Anyway, here are my takes on the sketch above. It cracks me up how they both took on a life of their own and bear only a slight resemblance to each other. LOL A closer look at the olives on the second page: Last day to sign up for my giveaway here. I'll be picking a winner tomorrow. |

14 Days of Valentines-Chocoholic Layout
First off, I'm so sorry for the condition of this picture. I'm going to take another one tomorrow, hopefully. I have spent all day with my kids and I didn't get my project done today. I've had a wonderful day with my kiddos. At one point in time, my little guy was laughing so hard, he fell over. You can't beat that! I knew if anyone was waiting for today's post, they'd forgive me after knowing I spent time with my family.
My project for today is a layout using patterns from Paper Piecings by Nikki :
The title is from Little Scraps of Heaven
I used a sketch from Little Scraps Of Heaven as well. I planned to make this a boy-themed layout, but somehow it evolved to this. I really like it though.

Have a great day!

14 Days of Valentines- Turtle Valentine Layout
Welcome to Love Makes the World Go Round, but Laughter Keeps Us From Getting Dizzy Week. Try putting that on the front of a greeting card!
I figure since this is a papercrafts and scrapbooking blog, I should probably scrapbook a little, right? So, here's my take on a sketch at Little Scraps of Heaven. Each week, they give you a sketch and you do your take on it. I love that because, you can just concentrate on creating. You already know where everything is going to go and you just make the elements. I love concentrating on the art of it and not getting too technical.
Here's a closer look at the turtle:
